Aisha Alabbar Gallery is pleased to present a documentary screening of Red Blue Yellow directed by Nujoom Al Ghanem. The 92-minute documentary is a journey to the life and profession of a publicly well-known UAE female artist but never-known on the personal level.
Najat Makki is the first Emirati female artist and one of few that got recognized not only for their creative work but also for their special role in the UAE and Gulf region’s society. Her art and name have become a legacy. Her life is a rich journey that is as colorful as her paintings... Yet among those hays there are layers of many personal stories waiting to unfold for the first time.
About Nujoom Al Ghanem
Nujoom Alghanem is an Emirati poet, artist, scriptwriter and multi- award- winning film director. She has produced eleven films including five short fictions and six feature length documentaries. Her documentaries have won several local, regional and international prizes.

يسعد جاليري عائشة العبار أن يقدم عرض الفيلم الوثائقي أحمر أزرق أصفر اخراج نجوم الغانم. 92 دقيقة هي مدة الفيلم الوثائقي الذي يسجل رحلة في حياة وفن فنانة تشكيلية إماراتية معروفة جدا على الصعيد المهني ولكنها مجهولة تماما على الصعيد الشخصي.
نجاة مكي هي أول إمرأة إماراتية تتخصص في مجال الفن التشكيلي وهي واحدة من بين قلة من الفنانيين الذين حصلوا على التقدير ليس فقط على المستوى الابداعي في مجال عملهم ولكن أيضاً على الدور الفني الذي لعبوه في منطقة الخليج كلها. لقد أصبح اسمها وفنها ميراثا ابداعيا هاما. أما حياتها فهي غنية وملونة كما هو الحال بالنسبة للوحاتها. غير أنه وبين طيات كل تلك الألوان تكمن حقائق وهموم شخصية بإنتظار أن تُكشف للمرة الأولى.

نجوم الغانم هي شاعرة إماراتية، فنانة، وكاتبة سيناريو ومخرجة أفلام تسلمت العديد من الجوائز. لقد قامت بإبداع إحدى عشر فيلم متضمنة خمس روايات قصيرة وستة أفلام وثائقية طويلة. فازت أفلامها الوثائقية بالعديد من الجوائز المحلية، الإقليمية، والدولية.
