This Ramadan, Aisha Alabbar Gallery is delighted to bring together artists Moza Almatrooshi and Nujoom Alghanem in a one-of-a-kind film screening about bees.
Both artists have documentaries exploring the cultural and historical significance of bees in the UAE. Issues regarding sustainability, climate change, the importance of bees in agricultural ecosystems and more are explored in these artistic films.

Moza Almatrooshi’s “There is an Edible Gold” (2021) was commissioned by Art Jameel for the exhibition “Staple: what's on your plate?” curated by Rahul Gudipudi and Dani Burrows in Hayy Jameel, Jeddah, KSA. It is currently on show there until April 30th.
