Abdulrahim Salim UAE, b. 1955

Abdulraheem Salim (1955, UAE) is one of the first contributors to the fine art movements in the UAE alongside Najat Makki, Hassan Sharif, Abdul Qader Al Raes and others. He received a bachelor’s degree in sculpture from the College of Fine Arts, Cairo University (1981). The sculpture and painting of Abdulraheem Salim reflect a fascination with both figurative and abstract forms and depict the artist’s longstanding engagement with Emirati culture and the history of the Arabian Gulf.
