Palestinian Artist Salma Dib Traces Writing and Erasure

Salma Dib Traces Resistance Through Writing, Erasure, and Memory in Savoir Flair's latest feature
Lamia Baladi, Savoir Flair

Salma Dib’s work begins with walls. Walls as sites where language accumulates, disappears, and returns. Writing, erasure, rust, burn marks, and layers of building material come together in surfaces that register political pressure alongside everyday life. Her first solo exhibition, Marks of Return, presented at Aisha Alabbar Gallery in Alserkal Avenue, brings these concerns into focus through a body of work shaped by years of research into wall writing, protest language, and writing as a way of claiming space as part of Palestinian resistance.
